We will begin early to visit the beautiful hanging bridges of Arenal to be able to see as much wildlife as possible, is great to bird watch too and get a different, best perspective of what the rainforest is.

A series of interconnected hanging bridges with short ground walks is what you may encounter and half way at a nice clear in the forest some fresh, tropical snacks will be provided.

It is unforgiveable that you visit the rainforest and not be able to go to a waterfall, luckily for you we have one of the best in Arenal, La Fortuna Waterfall. It takes about 20 minutes to hike the way down to it once at the entrance, right after a 30 minutes drive from the bridges.

The path to find the waterfall is going down through 500 stairs, a great excersice, but don't panic if you are not fit, you may go very slow, take your time and admire the beautiful escenery of the natural canyon around you. Once down there is nothing else to do but admire the 275 feet high fall, what are you waiting for? Jump in the water, take a swim, go around the most natural pool and build great memories with your camera too!

There are changing rooms up at the main facilities so you can put on the swinsuit or change into dry clothes, if someone in the group decides not to take the hike down that is ok, there is a nice restaurant with tropical drinks and an observatory to see the waterfall without having to do the hike.

After a few hours in nature, learning about the forests, the animals you will see, the habitat and our country is time for a nice lunch which is of course another surprise. You will be greeted by a wonderful local familia, Los Rodriguez, they will have cooked a tasteful lunch ready for you filled with traditional dishes and unique flavors. This will take place at their family ranch, next of a great river where you can continue to see lots of birds and always be in a natural environment.

Take a fresh, home made coffee and get ready to get on board of our last adventure, this time will be on a raft at Penas Blancas River. This is a favorite for everyone, is perfect to end up the day like this, after a replenished lunch you can be sitting down at the raft comfortably going slowly with the stream of the river in the middle of the rainforest taking in the sounds, the colors, the relaxing sound of the water and keep close attention to the guide so you don't miss out of any wildlife surprises, there is so much that you can find and appreciate! Promise you will get back to your hotel with a smile on your face and tons of memories and stories to tell about the rainforest in Costa Rica.
